Pepper & Salt
Pepper & Salt Restaurant is situated amongst the rolling hills and sweeping vineyards of Denmark. Renowned as one of Western Australia’s best regional chefs, Silas Masih has designed the menu to showcase the sensational local and seasonal Denmark produce. Silas’ Fijian-Indian heritage has influenced his philosophy at Pepper & Salt where he and his team continue to evolve and welcome you like family.
The restaurant is located in one of the region’s oldest wineries, Forest Hill Vineyard. A visit to their cellar door is a must!
Nornabar is a newcomer to the region, located 20 mins from Parry Beach, and only 10 mins from the Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk. The restaurant provides indoor and outdoor dining with modern bar and bistro food. The extensive menu will delight any crowd with plenty of great options for the kids, but also featuring some exquisite options for adults, including beautiful Sri Lankan flavours courtesy of the chef. Nornabar is open Wed-Sun for breakfast & lunch, and dinner on Fri & Sat - make sure to book.
Stomp’d is a casual wine bar in the heart of Denmark serving up local wines & tasty morsels. The chalkboard menu of just a few items each night of sharing charcuterie plates, Umbrain flatbreads and hearty pasta dishes certainly packs a flavourful punch. It’s a great place for a night out with friends or a romantic date spot.
The Brew Pub restaurant at Boston Brewery serves handcrafted beer and wine with sensational food all day long. Our Head Chef sources the freshest local produce to create a tasty and original menu that complements our beer and wine. For a long lunch or elegant evening meal the a la carte menu provides some classic options.
The vast outdoor area offers a large children’s play area, and a covered stage for musical events that occur year round.
Farmers Markets & Produce
Albany Farmers Market , 8am-12pm every Saturday, offers a huge array of locally grown vegetables, fruits, farmed meats, seafood and much more each week. It’s a vibrant community experience and well-worth the drive to Albany.
Kwoorabup Community Market , 10am-2pm every Sunday, serves up seasonal fruit and veg harvested that morning, handmade wholefoods and gifts, delicious hot food for dine in or takeaway, gardening nicnacs, local music and more.
Denmark Berry Farm is a self-pick raspberry and blackberry farm; a great afternoon out. They also serve up delicious homemade ice cream and preserves. Make sure to call before visiting as opening hours can depend on berry abundance.
If you’re over near Albany, we’d also recommend a stop at Nicklup Orchard near Kalgan River, famous for their heirloom stone fruit in summer, and Handasyde Strawberries, a farm-gate selling trays of certified-organic fruit and eggs.
